Skalochori Village is located 57 km west of the island center on the Sıgrı road. Çömlek Village, where there are 3 mosques known as Câmi-i Sagir, Câmi-i Kebîr and Câmi-i Cedîd (Small, Grand and New Mosques), was a very rich settlement where 23 foundations were established during the Ottoman period. Sultan Abdülhamid had donated 300 liras for the construction of the New Mosque in the square in the south of the village.
