In an archive document dated February 23, 1914, it is reported that of Muslims were brutally massacred by the Greeks during the Balkan War in Lesbos and that mosques and mosques on the island were attacked, burned or converted into churches. Nees Kidonies Village, located 28 km north of the center of the island, has a mosque, a two-eyed historical fountain and a bathhouse. It is registered as Balçık Karyesi Mosque in the evkâf tasfiye book numbered 613 in VGMA, and there is also a hurûfat record in the book numbered 2383. According to the book, the mosque has
