Souk al-Ghazal Mosque is located in the west of Algeria in the city of Constantine, which was conquered in 1519, next to the historical Bey Palace. According to its epitaph, it was built by Kelyânî Hüseyin Bey in 1731. The mosque was converted into a church after the French occupation on 13 October 1837. After the conversion, its epitaph was dismantled and taken into Bey's Palace and placed on the wall of a room. The epitaph is one of the oldest and most beautiful of the inscriptions obtained by pouring lead on marble. Another feature of the epitaph is that it is the oldest stone epitaph in the city. After the independence of Algeria, the work was turned into a mosque again. It is open to worship today.
