Kavala, Tekke Câmii

In a news article published by Sehbal Magazine in 1913, it was reported that the Tekke Mosque in Kavala was converted into a church. In the photograph of the mosque published in the news article, it is seen that the minaret was demolished down to its base and turned into a bell tower. During the Bulgarian occupation of the city, the minarets of the Ibrahim Pasha Mosque and Halil Bey Mosque were similarly demolished and turned into churches. As it is understood from the photograph, since there are buildings (Istanbul Hotel) adjacent to the mosque, the work should be in the bazaar in the center of the city.
