Dırama, Osmanlı Köyü Câmii

During the Ottoman period, the Ottoman Village, which belonged to the Pravishte District of the Drama of the Vilayet of Thessaloniki, is now called Chrisokastro (Χρυσόκαστρο) and is located 8 km southwest of Pravishte. The foundation was established in Praveşte, Thessaloniki and was dated 15.11.1253 / 10.02.1838 AH. In the 1924 exchange and liquidation documents of the Ottoman Village, there are declarations belonging to the Ottoman Village Mosque and School Foundation and the Ottoman Village Upper Neighborhood Masjid-i Sharîf Waqf. The Ottoman Village Mosque was converted into a church after the exchange, dedicated to St. Panteleimon. A new monastery was started to be built in Elecik, 1.5 km north of the village, and after the completion of this monastery in 1990, the old mosque, which was the church in the center of the village, was demolished.
