The village of Risili is located 7 km northwest of the city of Avlonia (Vlorë) on the Adriatic coast. On December 28, 1907, a telegram sent from Avlonia to the Province of Ioannina informed that the mosque in Risili Farm was demolished and replaced with a church. This building was demolished like other places of worship during the communist period in Albania (in 1967).
