Softa Mosque is one of the temples built in the period after the Venetian occupation of Athens (168788). Also known as Hüsnü Bey Mosque, it was located in the Upper Sadırvan neighborhood. After the Turkish rule in the city, the Metropolitan Cathedral was built on the site of the mosque between 1842-62. According to Travlos' plan, it is understood that the building was a classical style mosque, probably domed, consisting of a square harim and a three-sectioned narthex.
