Anabolu, İç Kale Câmii ve Sarnıç

In Anabolu (Nauplion), the building known as Ic Kale Mosque was built in the late 17th century by Aga Pasha in memory of his wife Fatma Hanım, who had passed away. Built on a sloping land in the Inner Castle, the mosque has a cistern in its courtyard and a bathhouse next to it. In 1839, it was converted into a Catholic church by the Greek King Otto for Catholic Greeks and Catholic soldiers from Bavaria who supported the independence of Greece. In 1841, a wooden apse was added to the interior of the church by the French officer August Ilarion Touret. The building, which is now St. Mary's Catholic Church, is in the classical period Ottoman mosque type consisting of a square-plan harim and a three-part narthex. The body of the minaret has not survived to the present day, only the base remains. There is also a cistern used as a chapel in the courtyard. The well-preserved work is properly maintained today.
