Ahıska, Kılde Köyü Câmii

Klde Village is located 7 km northeast of Akhaltsikhe. Estimated to have been built in the 18th century, the mosque has a rectangular plan measuring approximately 10x12 meters from the outside. The cloister and ceiling of the mosque, which was built with a smooth stone workmanship, have not survived to the present day. There is a temporary roof cover over the body walls. The Klde Village Mosque was consecrated by the local clergyman in the 1990s and started to be used as a church. Renovation works were also started with the aim of reorganizing the interior as a church, but due to the opposition of the authorities and the decision of the church sponsor, this arrangement did not take place. On July 1, 2006, a new church was to be built elsewhere in the village. The mihrab of the mosque, which was used as a church for a short time, shows traces of candles being lit. During the conversion of the interior into a church, the stone wall that was started to be built in the harim is still standing.
